What is Loggerhead® Marina?
Loggerhead® Marina is a collection of marinas owned and operated by Seven Kings Holdings, a leader in marina management, located throughout Florida. Loggerhead® Marina currently includes twelve (12) facilities from north to south: Daytona Beach, St. Petersburg, Vero Beach, Stuart, Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach, Lantana, South Lantana, Hollywood, Aventura, and South Miami. Loggerhead® Marina offers wet and dry slips, depending on the location, and provides unsurpassed service and amenities. All Loggerhead® Marina facilities are open to the public and offer transient, monthly, seasonal or annual slip rentals.
What are the benefits of joining Loggerhead Marina?
Loggerhead Marina is open to the public and we consider our tenants "members." Each property offers comparable benefits, including concierge-level service, on-site amenities such as a Captain's Lounge with complimentary gourmet coffee, newspapers, and boating publications, clean, upscale restrooms, reciprocal use of other Loggerhead Marina facilities, and virtual offices with fax, copy, and Internet access.
Each property has unique benefits such as wet slips, dry slips, annual leases, seasonal leases, and weekly or daily transient opportunities. Laundry facilities, on-site repairs and maintenance, haul out, fuel such as high-octane gasoline or marine-grade diesel, on-site restaurants, pools, gymnasium, spa, cable, phone, and/or other amenities are also unique to each Loggerhead Marina.
Membership in Loggerhead Marina offers traditional marina access with modern amenities, social interaction such as rendezvous and picnics, and singular ownership providing continuity and consistency.
What is the relationship between Loggerhead Marina and Loggerhead Marinelife Center?
Loggerhead Marina is committed to marine conservation. Therefore, Loggerhead Marina agreed to make a near seven-figure contribution to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center for the construction of a new 13,000 square-foot campus in Juno Beach, Florida. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a marine hospital and rehabilitation center whose mission is to assist injured sea life, especially endangered sea turtles, and educate the public about conservation of our treasured waterways.
We encourage our members to visit and support the Loggerhead Marinelife Center. We will be adding a kiosk to each marina to provide helpful tips on the water. Is Loggerhead Marina a “Clean Marina”?
We believe that marina owners and operators should serve our industry as good stewards of the aquatic marine environment. We have chosen to lead by example. We voluntarily initiated and implemented a set of environmental Best Management Practices (BMP) designed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to preserve Florida's waterways. These BMPs address critical environmental issues such as sensitive habitat, waste management, storm water control, spill prevention, and emergency preparedness. We are pleased to report that all thirteen Loggerhead Marina facilities have obtained the distinguished Clean Marina designation.
Do you have wet slips?
We have 80 wet slips in total ranging from 40 to 80 feet. We also have a few docks that can accommodate vessels up to 120 feet.
What is the depth of the marina or approach to the marina at low tide?
The marina has a depth of 7 feet at mean low water.
Does your marina have WiFi (internet access) on the docks?
Yes, this marina offers Wireless Internet Connection on the docks.
Do you have dry storage?
We do not have dry storage at Loggerhead Marina - South Lantana. However, Loggerhead Marina - Lantana has dry storage for boats up to 34 feet and is located only 100 yards north of Loggerhead Marina - South Lantana. We also have several other dry storage marinas in the Loggerhead Marina family, including St. Petersburg, Daytona Beach, Riviera Beach, and Miami.
Do you rent boats?
We do not have boat rentals on-site.
How do I get to Loggerhead Marina - South Lantana?
From I-95 take exit 61 (Lantana Road) and go east to U.S. 1 (approximately 1.1 mile). Turn north on U.S. 1 and stay in the right lane. The Moorings condominium complex will be on the right side (east) of U.S. 1 (approximately 0.4 mile). Turn right into The Moorings and the marina will be straight ahead at the end of the buildings.
You can access Loggerhead Marina - South Lantana by water off the Intracoastal Waterway. From the south, enter the Intracoastal Waterway utilizing the Boynton Inlet (fixed bridge with 16-foot clearance). Head north, and approximately 1/2 mile north of the Ocean Avenue Bridge, you will see our sign in the Intracoastal Waterway. Turn left (west) and the marina is located straight ahead due east of The Moorings condominium complex (multicolored cluster of buildings).
Access from Lake Worth Inlet to the north is provided via the Intracoastal Waterway. Head south near Palm Beach Island or follow the markers along the mainland. You will pass under four bridges. Look for the Loggerhead Marina sign in the Intracoastal Waterway. Turn west and you will see the dock and dry storage barn.
What are the hours for Loggerhead Marina - South Lantana?
We are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. All Loggerhead Marina locations are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
What do I do if there is an after-hours emergency?
The marina office phones are forwarded nightly to an answering service. The service will contact the harbormaster or another Loggerhead Marina official in the event of an emergency. If the incident involves an injury or the law is being broken, please dial 911. A call to the marina office will also be appreciated.
What is the closest airport?
Palm Beach International Airport is 10 miles from the marina and is a 10- to 15-minute drive.
Do you allow liveaboards?
Loggerhead Marina - South Lantana does not allow liveaboards. The Moorings condominiums are on-site if you are looking for a home adjacent to your boat. Please check with our harbormaster for more information.
Do you offer new or used boat sales?
We do not offer new or used boat sales at Loggerhead Marina - South Lantana. Please feel free, however, to contact our harbormaster for assistance regarding sales, boat rentals, charters, or other leasing opportunities.
Do you sell gas or diesel?
Loggerhead Marina - South Lantana does not currently sell fuel. However, Loggerhead Marina - Lantana sells high-grade Valvtect marine gasoline and is located only 100 yards north of us. For diesel or other fuel needs, please contact the harbormaster. We also offer our members a discount on fuel.
Do you sell bait?
We do not sell live or frozen bait on-site. We would be happy to provide directions to the nearest bait and tackle store and secure transportation for you, if necessary. Also, boating supplies and snacks can be delivered directly to your boat with just a phone call.
Are there any good fishing locations near you?
Fishing in Palm Beach County is arguably the best in the world. The winter sailfish bite in Sailfish Alley, and the spring mahi-mahi runs and skyrocketing kingfish are all found in abundance out of the Lake Worth and Boynton inlets. In fact, the nearest point between Florida and the Gulfstream is directly east of Loggerhead Marina - Lantana. Offshore fishing includes dolphin, marlin, sailfish, grouper, snapper, kingfish, cobia, wahoo, bluefish, and assorted sharks. Inshore fishing spots include the world-famous Munyon Island and numerous flats and bridges, with favorite catches that include pompano, jack, croaker, permit, bonefish, tarpon, and snapper.
Do you have on-site, pump-out service? How do I arrange for pump-out service?
We currently do not have pump-out facilities.
How far away is the beach?
The nearest beach is the Lantana Municipal Beach, approximately 2 miles from the marina. Go south on U.S. 1 to Ocean Avenue and turn left (east), and the beach is straight ahead.
Are there any areas close by to go water-skiing?
You can water-ski south of the marina past the Ocean Avenue Bridge. Also, to the north in Lake Worth, you will find locations to water-ski.
Are there any restaurants on the water that we can get to?
Key Lime House is located south of the marina just beyond the Ocean Avenue Bridge.
Are there any fixed bridges in the area? If so, what is the height limits?
The only fixed bridge in the area is the Boynton Inlet Bridge. It has a 16-foot vertical clearance at mean high water.
What are the hours of the bridge openings for your marina?
Ocean Avenue Bridge opens on the hour and half-hour.
